Best ever brownies

Vegan and GF to boot…

3/4 C. gluten free flour mix

6 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder

1 tsp. Baking Soda

1/2 tsp. salt

2 tsp. ground expresso (optional)

1/2 C Maple Syrup

1/2 C. unsweetened apple sauce

1 C. creamy almond butter (grease the measuring cup for easy removal)

1 1/2 tsp. vanilla extract

Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour an 8” or 9” square pan. Mix together all dry ingredients in a bowl. Then mix in the wet ingredients. Pour into pan. Shake pan until batter is evenly spread out. Bake for 20-30 minutes, until an inserted toothpick comes out clean. Allow to cool. Makes 12.


The brownies were a hit with my friends who came for an afternoon tea.
